I have the Great Adventure Bible and I really like it - interesting way to read it, too, in that Jeff Cavins chooses only the "historical" books, rather than all the books, but does include them as additional resources. You might also enjoy his book, written with Dr. Tim Gray of the Augustine Institute, "Walking With God", which is a narrative story of the Great Adventure premise. I enjoyed reading it. You might want to look at the Little Rock Catholic Study Bible, too; it's very good and a great reference/resource.
