Yay for Hildegard of Bingen! I did a senior seminar paper on her in college, and just before I presented it, the northern lights showed up in the sky during an excessively cold winter in Chicago. They looked like a cathedral, and since much of H of B's visionary writing was about the church, it made a great lead-in to my paper.

Kind of fun there were just recently sightings of the Northern Lights around the time we discussed Hildegard. These women are truly fascinating.
Yeah, I was thinking that! (Alas, I did not get to see this batch due to light pollution the first night, and clouds ever after that.)
