ONE
Her new book (out this week!) on birds is beautiful and well-written. Here’s my interview with Courtney a while back.
TWO
He’s perhaps best known for his poetry, but his book on a pilgrimage to Mt. Athos has left a significant mark on my spiritual life. PS He’s not actually at the conference. :)
THREE
I don’t have his new book yet, but I used My Bright Abyss as an inspirational read for my own Shaky Ground.
FOUR
At my first FFW in 2014, he was a favorite speaker. I highly recommend his book.
FIVE
Although I don’t think she attended this year, I’ve interacted with Micha at previous festivals. Her book came out this week as well!
SIX
The Yancey’s have been highly influential in my writing life.
SEVEN
I had Friday lunch with these two!
Traci, your recommendation of Short Trip to the Edge was a good one; it sounds fascinating - ordered. While there, I decided to explore the recommendations rabbit-hole on that page (I have a love-hate relationship with rabbit holes), and found Faith, Food, and Fasting - ordered it, too. My spiritual reflection reading for summer is set. Thanks!
